would you, could you, with a pox?
November 28th, 2006
Zibby has the chicken pox. The first one appeared yesterday afternoon, but it wasnt until around midnight that I realized she had developed a dozen more. Today she has lots more, and by lunchtime was complaining about them hurting. Poor baby girl. Luckily she can still nurse for comfort and we got some oatmeal bath for her to take later.
Yesterday we went to the Museum of Science and Industry to see the Christmas tree display and the baby chicks. What do they do with those chickens, anyway?

My little one enjoyed painting himself with calmine lotion. After the oatmeal bath I sat him on the bath counter with a little cup holding the calmine lotion and a Q-tip. He painted where ever it itched. He was wonderfully entertained for quite some time and was soon totally covered with lotion, and still happy as a clam too.

Oh, I wish you could send some of those pox my way! My kids haven’t had them, or the innoculation, and they are hitting adolescence. I can’t find *anyone* who is contagious.
I had the chicken pox when I was a teenager… My poor mother had to deal with 4 kids (three teenagers and an 8 year old) with chicken pox AND a grumpy husband…. My Dad never could deal with illness … LOL
I hope Zibby has an easy time of it! (((hugs)))
Poor Zibby!Hope she feels better soon. I think those chicks go back to the farm after they hacth. They have some program where you can hatch them at home too.
